Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC)
Ms. Nora Skaburskienė has worked in the field of quality assurance since 2001. She became the Head of Institutional Review Department in 2009 and served as the Acting Director of the Agency since 2013. In 2017 became the Director of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education in Lithuania.
Currently, she is a Vicepresident and Board member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the President of the Network of Central and Eastern European Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA). Ms. Nora Skaburskienė is also involved in activities of national Bologna follow-up group as a member and in the working group of the ENQA on the quality assurance of e-learning. For two years acted as national representative from Lithuania in EC 7FP “People” Committee.
N. Skaburskienė has extensive experience in coordinating study programme assessments, also managing the work of Department. Contributed to drafting various legal acts and methodologies. Has wide-ranging experience of participating in local and international projects, tasks varying from research activities, training, to leading the Project teams.
As an expert Ms. Nora Skaburskienė took part in external review of Kostanay Pedagogical Institute organized by The Independent Kazakh Agency for Quality Assurance in Education in 2015 and evaluation of the British Accreditation Council organized by ENQA in 2014.
N. Skaburskienė is an author of several publications on the issues of quality assurance published in national as well as international press; has a wide list of presentations in various events.
Nora Skaburskienė is a graduate of Vilnius University (Lithuania) in the field of Communication and Information Sciences.
