Ms Aurelija Valeikiene, Deputy Director of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) delivered a key-note presentation at the inauguration of the International Week in Vilniaus Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences (VIKO) on April 25th, 2016.
The speech was focused on teachers as quality agents from the perspective of external quality assurance agency. The role and importance of teachers in higher education was analysed in the context of implementation of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015), marking the shift to student centered learning and greater internationalisation.
The event gathered around 50 guest lecturers from various countries, who were invited for intensive courses and other events in different faculties of VIKO.
