On 3 – 5 October 2017, an external evaluation of Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (hereinafter - LEU) will take place. LEU is the main institution in Lithuania involved in teachers' training. The first external review of LEU was held on 24 – 26 April 2012. Following negative assessment by international panel of experts SKVC awarded the University 3 years accreditation. The decission of accreditation came into force only in April 2015 after repearted hearings in Court. The Court confirmed validity of SKVC decision.


After the international evaluation coordinated by European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), activities of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) were assessed as substantially meeting all the requirements for such agencies. The purpose of ENQA evaluation was to demonstrate the level of compliance of SKVC work to the provisions of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015). Currently, SKVC fully meets nine standards and substantially complies with five standards and guidelines.


Four more universities have been authorized to perform recognition of foreign qualifications at the end of June. These univerisities are the Vytautas Magnus University, the Kaunas University of Technology, the ISM University of Management and Economics and the Aleksandras Stulginskis Univeristy


On Wednesday, 5 July reception will be able to provide publice services till 16:00. On Thursday, 16 July reception will not be able to provide publice services. 6 July — Day of Statehood (Crowning of Lithuanian King Mindaugas).



ATTENTION! On the 22-23 of June, 2017 the reception room (1-18) will be closed due to technical difficulties. During this time our phones and e-mail will not be working. The first day of an international conference “Single Accreditation of Joint Programmes – Turning a Bologna Guideline into Reality” will be broadcast live online from Vilnius, Lithuania on May 30th 2017. It will be possible to view the conference and discussions live online May 30th, from 9:30 a.m. to 17:15 p.m. Vilnius time (to check the difference see https://time.is )


ATTENTION! Because of on-going construction work the Centre will be unable to provide any services related to the submission and claiming of any documents related to recognition of qualifications on 15-18 of May. Any inquiries during this time should be directed by e-mail to recognition@skvc.lt


On April 28th, 2017 during the CEENQA general assembly in Zagreb, members unanimously elected Ms Nora Skaburskienė, Director of SKVC as the next President of the Network. Prior to this, Ms Skaburskienė held position in CEENQA Board.


General public be advised that on the 14th of April, 2017 the reception room (1-18) will be closed because of on-going construction work. This means that we will be unable to receive any documents submitted in person on this day, we recommend submitting documents concerning recognition by post.


On 6th of April 2017 representatives of Bethlehem University – dr Irene Hazou, Vice President for Academic Affairs and dr Muna Matar, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs visited SKVC.
