EHEA Ministerial Conference adopted three policy measures

On 14-15 May 2015, education ministers met in Yerevan, Armenia, to acknowledge the progress made so far and to commit to goals for the future with regard to the continued reform and voluntary convergence of higher education systems in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Lithuania and about 500 participants from 46 countries and international organisations, including the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth, and Sport Tibor Navracsics, attended the event.

The ministers adopted the Yerevan Communiqué, thereby affirming the promotion of pedagogical innovation in student-centred learning environments, an increased consideration of labour market needs, and the provision of more inclusive systems (including those which provide mobility opportunities for students and staff from conflict areas), and adopted the following three policy measures:

Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) ;

Background Report on the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes;

European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes ;

ECTS Users’ Guide (as an official EHEA document);

Report by the structural reforms working group to the bfug .
