EUA and LURK experts meeting

On 15th June 2018, a meeting-discussion was organized by the European University Association (EUA) and the Lithuanian University Rectors' Conference (LURK), which was held to discuss the ways to improve the quality of university scientific achievements and studies, and increase the efficiency of other activities. The purpose of the event was also to share the experiences discussing how and why university activities should be given sufficient public investment, how to create legal preconditions enabling universities to work more effectively, how to improve university internally, to strengthen dialogue between universities, government and social partners.

The meeting was attended by:

This meeting was organized by the EUA project Universities for Strategic, Efficient and Autonomous Management (USTREAM). The purpose of this project is to examine the measures that are applied at European universities in order to increase operational efficiency at the strategic level, focusing on three different areas: professional, operational and societal support aspects; academic issues; and strategic management. This project also analyzes operational policies at a systematic level, which determines the efficiency of universities, improves practice and helps to formulate recommendations for policy makers.
