The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education is 22

2017-01-24

On January 24th the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education celebrates its 22nd anniversary. In 1995 the Ministry of Education and Science decreed to establish a centre for quality assessment and accreditation in higher education with prof. dr.  Algirdas Eduardas Čižas as its head.

The following responsibilities were assigned to a newly established institution: to organize an expert assessment of higher education programs, to organize an assessment of higher education and research institutions and their branches, and to provide institutions with recommendations and advice regarding recognition of foreign education.

Nowadays after 22 years passed SKVC is recognized and highly rated both in Lithuania and abroad. Being part of international networks is a proof of this fact.

We are glad and proud of our team, which comprises more than 40 educated and conscientious intellectuals that know and love their job. This is a major strength of SKVC that allows us not only to perfectly carry out our main responsibilities but also to organize and complete big projects and take part in other agencies' activities.

Below please see the scan of the Ministerial order on establishment of SKVC.
