Documents to present for evaluation and recognition of foreign higher education diplomas

Contact information

Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education assesses foreign qualification witnessing successful completion of secondary education.

Recognition of education acquired abroad is made by the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Lithuania on the basis of the conclusions drawn by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education.

Assessment and recognition of foreign secondary qualifications usually takes not more than 4 month.

Assessment and recognition of foreign qualifications is prerequisite for access to higher education in Lithuania.

 

 

 

Documents to present for evaluation and recognition of diplomas of foreign high schools:

 -filled in application form for assessment of foreign qualification,

- filled in application form for recognition of foreign qualification,

 -legalised and notarized copy of diploma(s),

 -legalised and notarized copy of academic transcript(s),

 -notarised translation of all the above mentioned documents into the Lithuanian (or English),

 -notarised copy of the identification pages from the passport,

 -notarised copy of document on changed names,

 -payment check,

 -other documents if it is necessary.

The documents can be sent by post.

Attention: notarized copies and translations will be taken and not returned.

Evaluation procedure is fee-paying at the moment (70 Litas for a regular assessment).

You can transfer the payment from your bank or make payment in Lithuania.

Documents witnessing education acquired abroad are subject to legalization , if they have been issued in the state having not acceded to the 1961 Hague Convention concerning abolition of legalization requirements of documents issued in foreign countries, or approved by "Apostille"  if  they have been issued in the state having acceded to the above mentioned Convention.


 

Documents to present for evaluation and recognition of foreign higher education diplomas:

 -filled in application form for assessment of foreign qualification,

 - filled application form for recognition of foreign qualification,

 - notarized copy of diploma(s),

 - notarized copy of academic transcript(s),

 - notarised translation of all the above mentioned documents into the Lithuanian (or English),

 - notarised copy of the identification pages from the passport,

 - payment check (70 litas),

 - other documents if it is necessary (asked by the Centre).
