The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), in cooperation with the National Agency for Education, performed an annual analysis of monitoring indicators of study fields. It is a tool for external quality assurance and publicity.
After identifying a significant change in at least three indicators in a higher education institution (30% or more) in the last 3 years and after examining the explanations of higher education institutions for changes in these indicators, SKVC may identify a potential risk and may submit a proposal to the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports regarding the initiation of an extraordinary external evaluation of the field of study of that higher education institution.
This year, the data of the annual monitoring of study fields shows that there has been a significant change in at least three indicators over the past 3 years in 23 study fields of 12 higher education institutions (including 7 universities and 5 colleges). Comparing the data by study cycle and higher education institution, it can be seen that in the first study cycle a significant change of at least three indicators during the last 3 years was observed 19 times, in the second cycle - 11 times.
This year, only universities have fields of study with a significant change in at least three indicators in more than one study field (2-3 fields of study), a total of 3 such cases are observed in universities. There is also only one study field in which a significant change in at least three indicators has been recorded in the last 3 years (both in universities and colleges).
This year's report shows that the largest deviations were found in the indicator #1 (change in the number of students) - 27 times, in indicator #7 (change in graduates employed in the main groups of LPK) - 23 times and in indicator #2 (change in lowest competitive score) - 18 times.
