On 15th June 2018, the representatives of the SKVC participated in a meeting-discussion organized by the Vytautas Magnus University and the European University Association.
An international conference "20 years after Sorbonne declaration. Bologna Process in Lithuania and other European countries" was held on 11th of June, 2018.
On 8 June 2018, Ministers of Education of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia signed an intergovernmental Agreement on the automatic academic recognition of qualifications concerning higher education.
From the 2 May 2018, the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education will be issuing statements of recognition and recomendations for higher educations instutions, employers and institutions performing professional recognition only as electronic documents containing an e-signature.
During the 8th ENQA Members‘ Forum and General Assembly in Zaragoza (Spain) two workshops were held to discuss a draft set of recommendations developed by LIREQA project partners. Recommendations cover how QA agencies, HEIs and ENIC/NARIC centres collectively and individually could contribute to implementation of expectations under ESG 1.4 “Student admission, progression, recognition and certification”.
On April 12, 2018 the Academic Information Centre (Latvia) together with SKVC (Lithuania) within the framework of the ESF project “Support for meeting the requirements set for the EQAR Agency” No. 8.2.4.0/15/I/001, organised expert training entitled “Higher Education Quality Assurance”.
Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH has published public competition for selection of international experts to provide assessment, conduct quality review and give recommendations on accreditation of higher education institutions and study programmes.
During the course of implementation of IMPACT project, 11 centres of ENIC/NARIC networks were externally reviewed following SQUARE protocol and standards, to creation of which SKVC has contributed.
Ms Aurelija Valeikienė, Deputy Director of SKVC works as expert in ENQA (angl. European Association in Quality Assurance of Higher Education) coordinated external review of United Kingdom's external quality assurance agency QAA. Successful external review is a pre-condition for continuing membership for the next 5 years in ENQA and continuing listing of QAA as a trustworthy quality agency in EQAR.
On the 13th of February 2018 the 2nd LIREQA Project team meeting took place in Barcelona, Spain, kindly hosted by AQU Catalunya.
