After the international evaluation coordinated by European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), activities of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) were assessed as substantially meeting all the requirements for such agencies. The purpose of ENQA evaluation was to demonstrate the level of compliance of SKVC work to the provisions of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015). Currently, SKVC fully meets nine standards and substantially complies with five standards and guidelines.
Since 15th of August 2017 Mr Mažvydas Savickas replaced Mr Paulius Baltokas in the Council of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education.
Take notice, that by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania (July 2017) were approved changes on „The Resolution on the Implementation of the Republic of Lithuania Law on Higher Education and Research“. By this resolution were approved Procedure for the Issue, Specification, and Liquidation of Licences to Provide Higher Education and to Conduct Relevant Activities and Procedure for the Issue, Specification, and Liquidation of Licences Conduct Relevant to Higher Education Activities.
Four more universities have been authorized to perform recognition of foreign qualifications at the end of June. These univerisities are the Vytautas Magnus University, the Kaunas University of Technology, the ISM University of Management and Economics and the Aleksandras Stulginskis Univeristy
On Wednesday, 5 July reception will be able to provide publice services till 16:00. On Thursday, 16 July reception will not be able to provide publice services. 6 July — Day of Statehood (Crowning of Lithuanian King Mindaugas).

The first day of an international conference “Single Accreditation of Joint Programmes – Turning a Bologna Guideline into Reality” will be broadcast live online from Vilnius, Lithuania on May 30th 2017. It will be possible to view the conference and discussions live online May 30th, from 9:30 a.m. to 17:15 p.m. Vilnius time (to check the difference see https://time.is )

On April 28th, 2017 during the CEENQA general assembly in Zagreb, members unanimously elected Ms Nora Skaburskienė, Director of SKVC as the next President of the Network. Prior to this, Ms Skaburskienė held position in CEENQA Board.
