On 28–29 November, Ieva Vaiciukevičienė, Head of Legal and General Affairs Division of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) took part at the 3rd Plenary Session of the Council of Europe Platform on Ethics, Transparency and Integrity in Education (ETINED). Promotion of academic ethics is very important to SKVC both as external quality assurance agency and the ENIC/NARIC office.

On 26 November, the representatives of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) took part at the Bologna Process Peer Learning Activity on academic recognition in Venice. During the event, Ms Aurelija Valeikienė, Deputy Director, presented Practical Recommendations on Integrating Academic Recognition and Quality Assurance, produced during LIREQA project that was implemented by the SKVC-led consortium and co-financed by the European Commission.

As from today, the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) has a permanent head. According to the Order of the Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Mr Almantas Šerpatauskas was appointed as the Director of the SKVC for a five-year term starting from 20 November 2019. He was elected after winning a contest for the SKVC director's vacancy announced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

On 14 November, Mr. Tautvydas Klivickas, a student at ISM University of Management and Economics and also a participant of the project "Become a Minister!", initiated by the Lithuanian Student Union (LSS), visited the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). The participants in this project take up the post of a Minister of their choice for one day.

By implementing the project Modelling External Quality Assurance in the Changing Context (hereinafter - MODEQA) two representatives of SKVC (Head of Institutional Evaluation Division – Rasa Penkauskienė and Acting Head of Study Programmes Evaluation Division – Eimantė Bogdan) together with the representative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports (Head of Higher Education Studies Division – Giedrė Pačėsienė) were visiting two Nordic Quality Assurance Agencies.

On 8 November 2019, in Brussels Ministers of education of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg signed a declaration of intent on the automatic mutual recognition of higher education degrees.

29th October 2019 the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education is hosting experts from the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA): Dr. Jacques Lanarès (University of  Lausanne, Switzerland) and Michèle Wera (Quality Agency NVAO of the Netherlands and Flanders).

On 25 October, SKVC organized the second meeting of representatives of students associations named "Students Forum". This forum aims to create an institutional dialogue between student representatives and higher education policy implementing institutions.

An annual meeting of Baltic quality agencies in higher education and vocational education and training was taking place on 4-5th of September in Jaskonys (Lithuania). Meeting was organised by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) and the National Education Agency.

On 17 July 2019, Lithuanian Minister of Education, Science and Sports signed an Order approving the Regulations for External Evaluation and Accreditation of Studies, Evaluation Fields, and Indicators. The procedures of external evaluation and accreditation for ongoing studies under the new arrangements will be implemented from 1 January 2020.
