On 21 June, representatives from three Algerian universities and Agriculture Academy of Vytautas Magnus University visited the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). During the meeting with SKVC management, the activities of quality assurance agency and evaluation process of higher education institutions were discussed.
On 30 May, representatives from Azerbaijan Ministry of Education and five universities visited the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). The guests were mostly interested in Lithuanian experience of organizing external quality assurance in higher education institutions.
On 22 May 2019 the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) hosted an international conference of LIREQA project „Linking Academic Recognition and Quality Assurance“ as a final event of the project, co-financed by the European Commission. The conference was attended by more than 120 participants from 16 countries and also representatives of international organizations, including the European Commission.
The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) together with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport has organized several meetings in order to receive insights from various stakeholders for development of the Order of the study field assessment and accreditation procedures.
Last week the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) held the first meeting, called Students’ Forum, during which the procedure for examining students’ complaints and what should happen with the quality assurance of study programmes and students in case of non-accreditation of studies were discussed.
On 11 February 2019, representatives from Azerbaijan Ministry of Education, quality assurance agency and universities visited the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). The guests were interested in Lithuanian experience of creating learning outcomes and competence-based education system.
In December 2018, Latvian Quality Agency for Higher Education was included on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). Prior to this, in June, after successful international review, AIKA became a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
On 28 November, Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (further referred to as SKVC) organized a seminar for quality assurance agents in higher education institutions that was discussing a theme of quality during the time of changes.
On 4 December, the team from the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) visited Northern Lithuania College to discuss the commitment of the higher education institution to suspend studies related activity from 2020. The team was particularly interested in the quality of studies in this higher education institution.
