Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) congratulates with the World Quality day!
On 5 November, representatives from Azerbaijan Universities visited the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). They met managers of the Centre and got acquainted with the activities of the SKVC, external quality assurance system in higher education in Lithuania and internal study quality assurance of institutions of higher education.
The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education started to implement Project "Development of a system for the description of studies (SKAR-3)" which aims to complete the development of a system of descriptors for Lithuanian study fields.
On 16 October, Minister of Science and Education Jurgita Petrauskienė signed a decree which granted Klaipėda University the right to perform recognition of foreign qualifications.
On 6–7th of September representatives of the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) participated in the meeting of the quality agencies of the Nordic and Baltic countries. The meeting was organized by the Finnish Quality Agency (FINEEC) and took place in Porvoo, Finland.
An annual meeting of quality assurance agencies in higher education and vocational education and training this year was held on 30-31st of August in Kuldiga (Latvia). During this meeting every country has presented ongoing activities, current changes in their regulations, specific working methods and plans for the future.
Mr Almantas Šerpatauskas has been appointed as Interim Director of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). Until now, he worked as Head of the Study Programmes Evaluation Division.
Ms. Nora Skaburskienė is leaving her role as the Director of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education on 22 August. She is leaving her post to take on new career opportunities.
At the meeting of ENIC and NARIC networks in Prague, Aurelija Valeikienė, Head of Lithuanian ENIC/NARIC, focused on "Linking Academic Recognition and Quality Assurance" (LIREQA), a research project about encouraging closer cooperation between ENIC-NARIC offices, HEIs and QA agencies in order to include recognition into internal and external quality insurance.
On 17-19 June, during the 25th annual meeting of ENIC and NARIC networks, the issues on social responsibility of higher education institutions, implementation of Bologna Process, automatic academic recognition of qualifications and practices of evaluation of qualifications held by refugees were discussed.
