Traditionally in spring, the SKVC started a cycle of discussions on the academic recognition of foreign qualifications with representatives of Lithuanian higher education institutions. As part of monitoring academic recognition by higher education institutions, the SKVC meets with the staff of higher education institutions directly involved in academic recognition, also working with internationalisation in general and their supervisors.
Meetings were held on 9-10 May 2023 with the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA), Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) and the Lithuanian Sports University (LSU). On May 16th the meeting took place with European Humanities University, then on 18th – with representatives of Klaipedos valstybine kolegija (KVK), and finally – on 19th with Kauno kolegija (KK). Those conversations will be continued carried over in the rest of May and June. Individual meetings will be arranged with a total of 17 higher education institutions that will undergo academic recognition in 2022. The meetings will discuss examples of good practices and challenges faced in the process of academic recognition of foreign qualifications at higher education institutions, as well as organisational and decision-making quality assurance measures.
