Ministers of Education of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia strongly condemn Russia's invasion of democratic Ukraine

2022-03-01

At present, all European Union countries have to unite in support of the people of Ukraine. We call on all European Union ministers responsible for education and science to join us in our commitment to providing support and all the necessary assistance for a united and sovereign state of Ukraine!

The Baltic States are ready to provide practical support. With our human and financial resources available in education we are ready to provide the widest possible assistance.

We must provide opportunities for children and young people of Ukraine to continue their education, and for academic staff and researchers to work with students and engage in research. To ensure this, the readiness of local governments to provide support is also crucial. We urge you not to remain indifferent!

Let us be united and support the people of Ukraine in this difficult time!
