SKVC is Celebrating Its 20th Anniversary

January 24, 2015, marks 20 since the establishment of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education. The Centre was established to function as an expert institution with three main tasks: to organize the evaluation of study programmes, to organize the evaluation of higher education institutions and to provide consultations to institutions about the recognition of foreign qualifications.

Nowadays, The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education has grown into a strong, smart and highly reputed institution with the deep values of professionalism and quality; independence and impartiality; respect and trust as well as cooperation. Day after day the great team of the Centre is working towards the mission of the institution: to create favorable conditions for the improvement of quality of higher education in Lithuania and the free movement of persons in the world with the aim of enhancing competitiveness of Lithuanian higher education and clarity of qualifications.

The Centre is a well-known organization across Europe. It has been an active member of international organizations: ENIC/NARIC (European Network of Information Centre and the network of National Academic Recognition Information Centres), INQAAHE (International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education), ENQA (The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and CEENQA (The Network of Central and Eastern European Quality Assurance).

As a partner or a coordinator the Centre has implemented more than 30 projects funded by European Commission, European Social Funds, governments, other funds and the Lithuanian budget.

The Centre for Assessment of Higher Education appreciates trust and cooperation of partners, stakeholders and of all those who have contributed to its mission and to the growth of the organization.
