In Octоber 2016 the second KVK institutional assessment took place. Following the proposal of international review group KVK work was evaluated positively so that KVK was accredited for a maximum period of 6 years.
Annual meeting of Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian ENIC-NARIC centres was held in Vilnius on 6-7 March 2017. This year, the 14th annual meeting was organised by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education.
On Februray 21-24 SKVC is being visited by ENQA experts that have already met specialists and council of SKVC and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science. Today, on February 23rd the experts will meet university and college employees, SKVC experts from high schools and representatives of employment market.
On February 21-24th, an international ENQA review panel visits SKVC. The purpose is to evaluate how SKVC complies with the expectations of Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015).
A competition for SKVC Director's vacancy for 4 year term announced by the Ministry of Education and Science has been won by Ms Nora Skaburskienė who has temporarily held SKVC Director's position so far.
On February 2nd SKVC representatives took part in a conference for directors of Lithuanian colleges meeting that was held in Vilnius college.
On January 27th SKVC representatives took part in a meeting with the Lithuanian University Rector Conference. The meeting was held at Vytataus Magnus University in Kaunas. The visit of ENQA panel to SKVC is scheduled to take place on 21-24 February 2017.
On January 24th the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education celebrates its 22nd anniversary. In 1995 the Ministry of Education and Science decreed to establish a centre for quality assessment and accreditation in higher education with prof. dr. Algirdas Eduardas Čižas as its head.
