On January, 2016 Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) and Lithuanian National Union of Students (LSS) signed an agreement regarding cooperation.
By signing this agreement, SKVC and LSS agree on cooperation in the areas of improving the quality of higher education, increasing the amount of information regarding higher education availability, increasing internationalization, qualification recognition and academic mobility.
"We regularly cooperate with students in various formats. For example, they participate in external assessment of study programmes and accreditation of institutions that are run by SKVC. Thus this agreement is another natural step that contributes to closer cooperation", – Nora Skaburskienė, director of SKVC, said.
According to the revised Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), students are very important stakeholders, and expectations for their inclusion and participation both within internal and external quality assurance processes are increased.
