ENQA panel visits SKVC

On February 21-24th, an international ENQA review panel visits SKVC. The purpose is to evaluate how SKVC complies with the expectations of Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015).

The external review is performed on the basis of SKVC self-evaluation report by the review panel consisting of four members as follows:

  • Dr Jacques Lanarès, Vice Rector for Quality, HR and Development of Teaching, Professor in the Faculty of Social & Political Sciences, University of Lausanne, Switzerland – CHAIR,
  • Ms Michèle Wera, Policy Advisor, Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie (NVAO), the Netherlands – SECRETARY,
  • Dr Saulius  Vengris, Vice-Rector for Strategic Affairs, Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, Lithuania,
  • Ms Marija Vasilevska, Master’s student, Faculty of Law Iustinianus Primus, Skopje, Macedonia.

The panel is escorted by ENQA review coordinator Ms Anaïs Gourdin.

During the visit, ENQA experts are meeting with SKVC staff, top managers of Lithuanian universities and colleges of higher education, experts who served for SKVC from academia and the labor market, students. The visit also includes a meeting with leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science, which is the founder of SKVC.  The full programme is available here.

This is the second external review of SKVC, the first took place in 2012 – positive results of it enabled SKVC to obtain full member status in ENQA and be included in EQAR. among the trustworthy external quality assurance agencies.
