On 13-14 September 2023 a delegation from North Macedonia visited the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). The objectives and functions of the SKVC, inter-institutional cooperation and the division of responsibilities for quality assurance in higher education and the recognition of qualifications acquired abroad were presented. The guests were particularly interested in the legal regulation in the field of higher education and the reforms carried out during more than 30 years of independence, as well as in the implementation of the Bologna Process reforms in Lithuania.
The visit to SKVC was part of a wider programme of the guests' visit, which also included visits to the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, the Methodological Centre for Development of Qualifications and Vocational Education and Training, the National Agency for Education, ISM University of Management and Economics, Vilnius University, the Vocational Training Centre in Alytus and the Parliament.
The activities are carried out within the framework of the European Union funded Twinning project "Further support for the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework" in North Macedonia.
