Invitation to the conference "Recognition Culture in Higher Education. International Perspectives on Lifelong Learning and Student Mobility"

2023-10-10

On 11 and 12 December 2023, the MODUS project of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) will host the conference "Recognition Culture in Higher Education. International Perspectives on Lifelong Learning and Student Mobility" in Bonn, Germany.
At the conference, processes, practices and approaches that promote an affirmative recognition culture at higher education institutions (HEIs) will be discussed in an international exchange. The following questions will be in focus:

  • How can the shared goals of student mobility and lifelong learning be translated into a common recognition culture?
  • What challenges do HEIs face in the further development of their recognition practices and which (new) concepts offer possible solutions?

These and other questions concerning the culture and practice of academic recognition and recognition of prior learning (RPL) will be elaborated by international experts and interested parties during the two-day conference at the Gustav Strese-mann Institute in Bonn. The conference is aimed at all those involved in academic recognition and RPL as well as student mobility and lifelong learning at HEIs. The conference language is English.
