During the course of implementation of IMPACT project, 11 centres of ENIC/NARIC networks were externally reviewed following SQUARE protocol and standards, to creation of which SKVC has contributed.
The voluntary quality assurance system for ENIC-NARICs is a tool to help the centres systematically review and improve their recognition practices, using a set of standards and guidelines based on the Lisbon Recognition Convention (LRC) and the ENIC-NARIC charter.
The tool follows a clear protocol and consists of a self-evaluation, a SWOT analysis and an external peer review.
SQUARE Self-evaluation and Peer Review Protocol
IMPACT helped improve the quality of recognition practices by organising 2 rounds of peer reviews for 11 ENIC-NARIC centres. Since 2012, there have been 25 reviews, including 3 centres that were reviewed twice.
The following 11 countries participated in the two peer review rounds:
2016/2017

- Romania
- Russian Federation
2017/2018
