SKVC calls for experts for external quality reviews in Lithuania

The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) announces a public call for international experts to participate in external quality assessment of study fields provision and (or) institutional reviews of higher education institutions in Lithuania. Experts applying should be currently active and known in their fields as teachers of the subject, researchers, or be Bologna experts, independent higher education consultants, also have previous experience of participation in peer reviews in the home country or internationally, and be fluent in English.

In particular, for external reviews of Lithuanian higher education institutions we are looking for experts who are experienced in the higher education institutions’ management and quality assurance or in study fields as follows:

  • Defence Studies,
  • Law (esp. specialising in human rights),
  • Political Sciences (esp. specialising in European Sciences),
  • Communication,
  • Business Studies and/or Economics,
  • Philology (English).


For external evaluation of studies, we are looking for experts from higher education institutions who are specialising in study fields as follows:

  • Veterinary,
  • Philology,
  • Natural Resource Technology,
  • Maritime Engineering,
  • Maritime Technology,
  • Dentistry,
  • Law,
  • Public Health,
  • Human Geography.

It is within the competence of SKVC to decide about the involvement of experts in evaluation groups. We reserve the right not to comment regarding the reasons of non-selection. SKVC is ultimately responsible for expert selection and briefing, in case of success. We will be in contact with the selected experts with further proposals to serve in particular procedures in Lithuania.
