On 10-11 September Annual Baltic meeting of Quality Assurance Agencies was held in Jūrmala (Latvia), during which each country gave an overview of current activities, work methods and future plans.
The centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) and the Agency for quality assurance and accreditation Austria (AQ Austria) have signed an agreement.
On the second half of 2015 the representatives of the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education in Lithuania (hereinafter – SKVC) are going to visit Higher Education Institutions that were accredited at the beginning of 2015.
In June 2015, the Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency (IQAA) and the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) have signed a Memorandum to establish effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of quality assurance in higher education.
On 14-15 May 2015, education ministers met in Yerevan, Armenia, to acknowledge the progress made so far and to commit to goals for the future with regard to the continued reform and voluntary convergence of higher education systems in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
In June 2015,International Business School at Vilnius University is undergoing a second institutional review organised by SKVC. This repeated evaluation follows the first review of the institution conducted in 2012.
During the first cycle of institutional reviews which was conducted in 2011-2015, evaluations of 47 Higher Education Institutions (hereinafter – HEIs) were initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science. The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education organized 44 reviews: 23 colleges of higher education (13 state and 10 non-state) and 21 universities (14 state and 7 non-state).
On the 9th of April, 2015 The Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) organized a discussion-based conference "Higher Education - Mission (Im)possible?" . The conference lasted all day long and consisted of three parts, filled with the main presentation and the following discussions. Around 120 representatives of higher education institutions, students, employers, the Ministry of Education and Science and other organizations in the field of higher education, attended.
On the 31st of March, 2015 The Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education organized a one-day training session for employers titled „Recognition of Qualification and Mobility in the Job Market“.
In October 2014, The Lithuanian Sports University underwent a second institutional review organised by SKVC. This followed on the first review of the institution conducted in October 2011.
